Drakes Island
I am so excited for the fireworks tomorrow on Drakes Island Beach. From the beach you can see the fireworks from Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. It is a great sight. I am hoping that the weather will be nice so that everyone can see the fireworks. I bought a ton of glowsticks for tomorrow night. I will probably look like a freak with a bunch of glowsticks all over me, but I don’t care. Forth of July is a fun summer holiday but with all the tourist in Wells, the traffic is horrible! I love the holiday but I will be happy it’s over so that the beach isn’t as crowded and the streets have less traffic.
Also I wanted to mention the shelter I volunteer at. The local no-kill cat shelter, Safe Haven is a great place to adopt. They have a great shop and the adoption center. Safe Haven is located near the Ditty Shop on Post Road. I will post the website soon.
I am planning on posting many photos but to be honest my flash drive to put my photos on my computer died. I promise more posts soon though!
I am so excited that I finally leave for Maine tomorrow. I have all my stuff packed. My cat is coming with me, so I even have his stuff packed. My dad is driving me up, so we will leave when he is done with work. I will most likely be leaving at 5:30 pm. Words cannot describe how happy I am to be leaving Rhode Island and going up to my summer home. I actually live in a campground all summer with my grandmother. We have new owners and they are amazingly nice. My grandmother said that everyone in the campground is wondering where I am. I cannot wait to go to Drakes Island! I should be in Wells by 8:00, so I post then. Also if anyone is interested in the campground I live in, I will post the link. So for now, I have more homework before I can finally say I am done and ready for summer.

In six days I finally get to go to my summer home in Wells, ME. I love it there and I am going to have a great summer! I live a mile from the beach and I practically live in the ocean. I look forward to this all winter, especially this winter. I have been home schooled for the majority of the school year, and I am so sick of tutors and homework!
